Promoting mental wellness through the arts.

We are Not That Kind Of CIC, an initiative dedicated to improving the mental health and creative career prospects of young artists and musicians in the Lincolnshire area.

Our mission is to inspire and empower young people to pursue their dreams and develop positive mental wellness through our programs partnering with creative industry professionals across the UK. We seek to help young people explore their authentic selves through creative expression, and find affirmation and autonomy as creative individuals in the music and arts industries – all in a judgement-free space where they are free to be themselves.

The event was so fun, everyone was there for one reason and it made us all feel comfortable with each other. Usually I’d be terrified to go up and do that but the atmosphere was so nice and relaxed and everyone was just there for a fun time, which we had it was awesome and thank you for having us perform!

I first worked with Not That Kind Of CIC at their Toxic or Wot event. Their commitment to designing and delivering inclusive events is highly impressive, especially live music events. They have a unique blend of compassion and fierce determination to open up spaces and opportunities. We are thrilled to be working with them and look forward to doing so again at their unique Smash The Stereotype festival in August.
